Music therapy is a discipline in which Certified Music Therapists (MTAs) use music purposefully within therapeutic relationships to support development, health, and well-being. Music therapists use music safely and ethically to address human needs within cognitive, communicative, emotional, musical, physical, social, and spiritual domains.

Danielle completed her Honours Bachelor of Music Therapy at Wilfrid Laurier University and her internship in palliative care at McGill University Health Centre, Montreal General Hospital. In addition to palliative care, Danielle has experience working with various client populations, individuals on the Autism spectrum, Down Syndrome, children and adolescents with mental health challenges, and seniors with mild to advanced Alzheimer’s and non-Alzheimer’s type dementias.
In addition to her clinical work, Danielle is an independent singer-songwriter, music producer and performer. Her extensive songwriting experience complements her skills as a Music Therapist, as she incorporates songwriting and improvisation in her approach to help clients achieve their goals.
